INSET COURSES 2009/10

Welcome to our INSET course booklet.

This booklet provides a summary of the courses we are running over the next year. Further information on all these courses can be found at: www.cpdsewales.org.uk

The main aim of our INSET courses is to give teachers ideas and the confidence to get out and use the outdoor environment to enhance and meet the demands of the new curriculum. At present, the outdoor environment is an underused and undervalued resource. We aim to reverse the situation. All our courses can be booked through: Julie Rhys (Newport County Council) on 01633 233351 or Directly through Helen and Kathy as below.

Charges: CPDonline charges as stated. If you book direct with GWT the cost is £85 per person per course unless otherwise stated. Remember those schools who are members of GWT Schools Wildlife Partnership Scheme are entitled to a free place on one of our courses (worth 5 hours). If you are doing this please book via: Helen or Kathy on 01633 889048 or magormarsh@gwentwildlife.org

Full day courses run from 9.15am -3.15pm. Lunch is provided on all our full day courses. Please advise us if you have any special dietry requirements. Fresh air, exercise, ideas and fun come as a standard part of all our courses! Sturdy shoes are required as well as suitable clothing for the time of year: Magor Marsh, where our courses are run, is very exposed, so when it is windy, it is very windy. When it is wet, it is very wet. When it is sunny .... got the picture? Our courses are generally very hands on and we invariably go out what ever the weather
