Recommended Dive Site

Sail Rock Dive Site
The rock, Shaped like an iceberg, and stands 15m (50ft) out of the surface, located between Koh Pha Ngan & Koh Tao, creating the best wall dive in the gulf of Thailand with a maximum depth of 34m (131ft). Underwater you can explore the huge walls of the rock, carpeted in colorful soft and hard corals and experience the famous "chimney"- a large vertical cylindrical room with light penetrating the length of it. Entering at 5 meters you can descend enjoying the breathtaking views before exiting at 18 meters below into the silver fields of trevally, and barracuda. The diving site is full of small crevasses which make it a perfect habitat for yellow margin and white-eyed moray eels. Other known visitors include mantas, marlin, and various species of shark including the whale shark.

Koh Tao Dive Sites
Koh Tao or Turtle Island has approximately 20 first-class dive sites that suit all levels of diving. Next to Koh Tao is Koh Nangyuan Tao sister island with picture perfect opportunity above and below the water. Koh Tao dive sites are great for novice divers, snorkelling and swimming. Chumphon Pinnacle Dive Site
Koh Tao‟s most impressive and desirable (by revisiting divers) dive site, Chumphon Pinnacle is also one of the most challenging dive sites with occasionally strong currents and a maximum depth of 36m (120ft). The site consists of four massive pinnacles that tower up to 16m (53ft) below the surface. This dive site is an underwater granite mountain range encompassing an area of approximately 100 meters square, completely surrounded by deeper waters providing us with a world class dive site. As the site is a good distance offshore, in season visibility is excellent, more than 30m (100ft). Regular sightings of whale sharks and grey reef sharks make this dive site one of the 'musts' of your trip. The pinnacles themselves are completely carpeted with sea anemones, and schools of batfish, barracudas, trevally & fusiliers create a spectacular scene in the surrounding waters

Cultural Do‟s & Don‟t
Thai people are extremely tolerant and will forgive almost all your cultural mistakes, However a little awareness and consideration will help you avoid causing offences and are sure to make your stay on Koh Samui Island a more enjoyable one.   Smile and greet people. Everyone understands, “Hello and thank you” Bathing suits are not appropriate attire away from the pool and beach areas, both male and female should wear a shirt in a village street and restaurants. Topless women sunbathers are deeply offensive to many people, especially Samui‟s Muslim population. Thai people are very affectionate with children, Feel free to fuss over little ones and let others fuss over yours. Public Displays of physical affection are deemed immodest and inappropriate. Leave a small tip if you liked the service. Be soft spoken and deferential, this kind of humility is especially respected, and it is how most Thai‟s behave in your country. Try to be patient with people‟s many questions, no harm is meant by their queries. Try to eat Thai - Thai style; don‟t be surprised if everything you order does not come out at the same time, since Thai food is shared and therefore would enjoy the dishes as they come. Do not point your foot at anyone or place it near to somebody, this is extremely insulting. Display of anger is likely to worsen a situation that it really is. Avoid directly accusing someone if you feel you have been cheated. Contact the tourist police. Remove your shoes before entering someone‟s home or temple. Don‟t touch a stranger on the head. Change money only at the front Desk of the resort, or at any authorized local banks.

Jet Ski vendors
Dear Guests Chaweng Beach and chaweng Nua the beach Kandaburi resort & spa is situated on has some Jet Ski vendors. Unfriendly to nature itself. These local operators (Jet skis) have also created a poor safety reputation towards the society which has occasionally resulted in fatal incidents. However to keep our beach clean and in order, without exploitation, we do not encourage jet ski activities and we therefore ask you with great respect to ignore any jet ski operators who may appear, not to accept “ their” persuasion and “ special offers”. If you do choose to accept, please note that this will be at your own risk, and the resort CAN NOT is held responsible for any damage of the Jet Ski, its users or third party.
