Living to Glorify God Preaching Schedule

December 27 David Reese (Representing Christ by Meeting Needs)
January 3 Phil Howard (Representing Christ by Offering Hope)
January 10 Virgil Adams (Being the hands, Feet, and Voice of Jesus
In our Homes and in our Church)
Pray that the church of Toccoa will portray
Christ’s love through this holiday season.

Pray that the Live Nativity will continue to have affect on
  those who witnessed it.
                                 Pray for Stan and Connie’s
                                 ministry since they have
                                 reached out to many
                                 families for Christmas.

Pray for those who have only
known the hollow joy of worldly
                        pleasures, that they would hear
                        Christ’s voice and experience
                        genuine joy.

Deepest sympathy to the Marsh family as they grieve the loss
of their loved one, Carol Marsh. The memorial service will be
held on Saturday, January 2nd at 2:30 p.m. The family will
receive friends in the church foyer from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has
requested that memorial gifts be made to the Great Commission
Pray for Jim and Karen Beall, international workers in Africa. This
Christmas marks their fourth overseas! Recently they wrote, “Thank
you for praying for the business this past year. Great strides have been
made over the past year and we know it is because you are praying
and God is blessing.” Continue to pray that God will use their good
reputation for integrity as a platform to share their faith.

Thanks to all who prayed for Regional Director Richard Herring and
CAMA Mongolia Field Director Pieter Theron, recovering from their
freak elephant accident in Thailand. Richard is slowly becoming
mobile but still cannot put any weight on his left leg. He was released
from the hospital on December 18. Pieter is now out of the hospital
and has returned to his home country of South Africa to be with his
family and to recuperate until early January. Pray for complete
recovery for both men and that their witness in the hospital and
beyond will be effective.

Praise the Lord for the 105 people who attended the recent Christmas
play event, sponsored by the team working in Kurdistan. “The
neatest part about the evening was having actual Medeo-Persians
playing the wise men, even tying their sashes in the wise-men way.”
Pray that many will return for future events and see the reality of
Christ in the lives of the international workers there.

The following workers claim First Alliance Church as their
home church and are counting on our prayers daily:
Todd & Debbie Adams - Papua, Indonesia
Mary Anderson - Mali
Jim & Karen Beall - Africa
Matt & Rachel Clason - Jordan

Wishing you all peace and joy in the New Year!

                            Thank You
The church staff would like to express their gratitude for the generous
Christmas gift given by the congregation. It is our pleasure to serve
you throughout the year.

                         What Could $25 Do?
As you consider your “gift giving” this season, here’s a suggestion
given at the C&MA Council. If every Alliance church increased
giving to the Great Commission Fund just $25 each week, through
either a new member getting involved or increased giving by a current
donor, the financial needs of the worldwide ministry would be met
and could advance! Thank you for your generous, sacrificial giving
this year. Let’s trust God together as we partner to spread the Good
News around the world!
             LIFE 2010… WHAT - R - U - W8TING - 4?

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas

                     Happy New Year

your needs and guide your steps this coming year!

And Mary said, “My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has
