Hiroshi, we are considering extensions to handle WLAN and ad-hoc networks - Joe – What interfaces have been specified? Hiroshi, we are in the process of deciding what interfaces to be specified. Joe presented (doc 09/32r1) on media independent coexistence - There are similarities to previous presentation - Method of sharing information across RAT boundaries - It could be expanded from handover to coexistence - Interfaces are more specific than 1900.4, since they are focused on handover - Since many 802 architectures are different than cellular architectures. 802.21 is focused more on 802 architectures - It would take new work to do coexistence between 802 to non-802 coexistence. Both 802.21 and 1900.4 would both need to be extended. - This approach could be used for coexistence between TVBD and licensed services - 1900.4 is more focused on licensed cellular networks - 802.21 is focused on 802 technologies and the higher On next week’s call we will review the draft tutorial information Submission Page 4 Steve Shellhammer, Qualcomm, Inc.
