This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Medicare Beneficiary

6 tion 312(a) of Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Benefits 7 Improvement and Protection Act of 2000 (114 Stat. 8 2763A–498), as enacted into law by section 1(a)(6) of 9 Public Law 106–554, is amended by striking ‘‘, and before 10 October 1, 2002’’ and inserting ‘‘and before October 1, 11 2005’’. 12 (b) 3-YEAR EXTENSION

13 NURSING FACILITY ADJUSTED FEDERAL PER DIEM 14 RATE THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2005.—Section 101(d) of 15 the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Balanced Budget Re16 finement Act of 1999 (113 Stat. 1501A–325), as enacted 17 into law by section 1000(a)(6) of Public Law 106–113, 18 is amended— 19 20 21 22 (1) in the heading, by striking ‘‘AND 2002’’ and inserting ‘‘THROUGH 2005’’; and (2) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘and 2002’’ and inserting ‘‘through 2005’’.
