Webinar FAQ
• What’s the software? Webinars are conducted using an online synchronous conferencing and training software application called WebEx. The client software downloads automatically after you log in to your WebEx meeting, and requires no installation. Please allow a few minutes for it to load at the start of every meeting. • How do I get login information? Once you order your webinar choice and checkout, you will get an email confirmation from IFM for that purchase. Within 48 hours, you will receive a confirmation with WebEx instructions, the session link and password. • When should I log in to the webinar? Participants can join webinars at least 15 minutes before they start. If you are a first time WebEx user, please join the session at least 30 minutes prior to start time to allow for WebEx configuration. • What equipment will I need to participate in a webinar? You will need to use your computer to view the power point presentation, participate in polls and the live question and answer session. To hear the audio, you have two options. a. You may listen to the audio via the call in number and access code that is provided in your WebEx confirmation. This number is also listed on the first slide when you join the webinar. (This is the best option for attendees on high speed connections). b. You may listen to a live web stream of the audio with Windows Media Player by going to http://www.functionalmedicine.org/ifm_ecommerce/playsound.aspx (This option is best suited to international attendees or those who wish to avoid toll charges. Please be aware that you may experience a 5-10 second delay of the audio from the live presentation depending on your connection speed). • Will I see the presenter? No, but you will hear the presenter while you view his/her presentation. • Will the session be recorded? Yes, the webinar session will be recorded and you can access the recording link 24 hours after the session has ended. You will be sent an email with instructions to access the recording link.
