MAJOR ACHIVEMENTS
Prepared a metallurgical survival plan for Nchanga Mine (KCM), that included cost benefit analysis to justify a captive 300 tpd acid plant (1998). Brought about 5% increase in cobalt recovery, amounting to 115 extra tonnes annually worth nearly $10 million, at Nkana concentrator (Kitwe, Zambi) by introducing a regrind stage in the copper reflotation circuit. This was my idea and I successfully carried it through from lab investigations, in-plant trial to implementation in the plant (1990-91).
