2008 Little League Baseball/Softball Information Sheet (Information on this sheet is intended to give participants a baseline of the program. Items may be subject to change based on enrollment.)
Season Structure Practices Begin – March 10 Opening Day – April 5 Regular Season – April 7 – June 7 All-Stars begin – June 15 – July 22 All Leagues will play a minimum of 12 regular season games and up to 16 games o The season will consist of: Skills Evaluation – (Except T-Ball) Week of March 3 – 7 o Exact time will be posted on our website and mailed to participants following the final registration o Team requests will be accepted, but not guaranteed Preseason practice begins the week of March 10 – 15. All teams will be practicing twice per week Uniforms will be handed out week of March 31 – April 4 (During your teams practice) Opening Day (Saturday, April 5, 2008) (Exact time – TBA) o Includes Opening Ceremonies o Concessions o Regular Games for all teams o Additional Activities Regular Season Format: One Game and One Practice Per week (depending on Age) Games Days Per Division (Tentative Based on Enrollment) All Games will be held at Efland Cheeks Community Park, except for overflow and makeups. • MONDAYS o T-Ball Division – (6:00PM) o Major League Softball AA (7:15PM) • TUESDAYS o Minor Softball – (6:00PM) o Major Baseball AA – (7:15PM) • WEDNESDAYS o Major Baseball A (6:00PM) o Junior Baseball/Junior Softball • THURSDAYS o Minor Baseball (6:00PM) o Junior Baseball/Junior Softball • FRIDAYS o Major Softball A (6:00PM)

The team your child is placed on will determine practice days. The younger division will practice always at 6:00pm.

What is in your registration fee of $40.00? • Cost of Uniform/equipment • Cost of Umpires and/or staff • Cost of Background Checks for Volunteers • Cost of Participant Trophy • Cost of Little League Insurance for each player (pickup insurance handout for more information) Team Uniforms Each registered participant for baseball will receive: • One Baseball Cap (Players can keep) • One Team Jersey (Players can Keep) • One Pair of Stirrup Socks (Players can Keep) • One Pair of Baseball Pants (Players Must Return) Each registered participant for softball will receive: • One Team Jersey (Players can Keep) • One Pair of Stirrup Socks (Players can Keep) • One Pair of Softball Shorts (Players can Keep)

All volunteers (Managers, Assist Coaches, Team Moms, etc.) must completed a Little League volunteer application, provide a copy of Driver’s License and successfully complete the Little League Criminal Background Check, prior to interacting with and children.

Equipment All equipment will be provided to each coach prior to the season. This equipment includes: • Scorebooks • Catchers Equipment • Baseball/Softballs • Helmets • Baseball Bats/Softball Bats Participants bringing in their own equipment besides a baseball/Softball Glove must have the equipment certified by the league for usage.
