WESTPAC SUSTAINABILITY CALENDAR
Being sustainable can be tough - we know.
We understand that picking up litter, turning off lights and recycling, can be a bit of a hassle. Even
though being sustainable can be tough, it is ultimately worth it. Being sustainable now, means that
we can keep enjoying our coastline, land, air, our community and quality of life, today and tomorrow.
That’s why Westpac has started now, by developing and committing to a sustainability plan made up of five goals
for our land and five goals for our people. With the support of our 5,500 staff, we’re focusing our efforts on making
small changes in our everyday lives, so we can make a big difference to the country our children will inherit and enjoy
for years to come. After all, it’s the little things today that add up to big things tomorrow.
Westpac is proud to support student environmental education by providing teachers with this extensive list of
important sustainability and significant dates for 2010. Visit the websites listed for further information, resources
and ideas for planning your class programme in support of sustainability.
