2. Welcome: BB welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced the speakers.
3. Community Plan: TC briefed the audience on the Community plan and distributed leaflets
“Turning the Tide” and “Top Ten for Torbay”.
4. Transport and Parking Issues: Malcolm Webley (WB) briefed the audience on the congestion
relief scheme, Local Transport Plan (LTP) and Control Parking Zones (CPZ).
5. Oldway: Steve Parrock (SP) and Paul Surrey (PS) briefed the audience on “Saving Oldway”
outlining the history; present use; budget pressures; condition issues; office accommodation review;
the mayor’s brief; actions to date and future actions. An overview of the briefing was distributed.
6. Open Forum: The public were invited to ask questions or provide comments on these topics
and any others that affect Preston. A summary of these are:
