Global warming!
How to stop it!
AEROSOLS!
• This is a big way to
help stop global
warming!
• Use roll-ons!
• Cut down!
• If we do this we can
help stop global
warming.
TRANSPORT!
• Transport is a big
cause in global
warming!
• We can stop this by
having more public
transport!
• Also try walking or
cycling to near places!
FACTORIES!
• Factories are also a huge problem in Global
warming because of the fumes that are
given off. Then them fumes go straight into
the atmosphere.And that causes Global
warming!
SOLUTIONS:
Global warming may be a big problem, but there are
many little things we can do to make a difference.
If we try, most of us can do our part to reduce the
amount of greenhouse gases that we put into the
atmosphere. Many greenhouse gases come from
things we do every day. As we have learned, these
greenhouse gases trap energy in the atmosphere
and make the Earth warmer.
TRANSPORT SOLUTION:
• Driving a car or using electricity is not
wrong. We just have to be smart about
it.Some people use less energy by
carpooling. For example, four people can
ride together in one car instead of driving
four cars to work. Here are some additional
ways you can help make the planet a better
place!
RECYCLE!
• Recycle cans, bottles, plastic bags, and
newspapers. When you recycle, you send
less trash to the landfill and you help save
natural resources, like trees, oil, and
elements such as aluminium
International agreements!
• The United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP) is the principal United Nations body
in the field of the environment. The role of
UNEP is to be the leading global
environmental authority that sets the global
environmental agenda, that promotes the
coherent implementation of the environmental
dimension of sustainable development within
the United Nations system and that serves as
an authoritative advocate for the global
environment.
The G8 summit!
• The UK will hold the
Presidency of the G8 in 2005.
Summits are held every year,
hosted by the country that
holds the Presidency.
The Prime Minister, Tony
Blair, has decided that the UK
will hold its Summit meeting
next year at the Gleneagles
Hotel, Perthshire, in Scotland
between 6-8 July, 2005.
