What are the steps to internship?
• Complete forms to release information and to be approved by the CIS team for CIS299 • Browse the company binder to select specific companies to contact • Sends resumes, cover letters, list of references to potential internship sites
• Signed release form & intent form • ‘Generic’ cover letter, resume & list of 3 references • Description of your career goals • Once hired, a signed internship agreement form • Written proposal of the internship position • Weekly report forms • Final paper describing the internship

How Do I Register for CIS299 ?
• First, plan for the unexpected! Register for another course that will satisfy the 3 credit technical elective (if needed) in case an internship is not obtained • Once hired for an internship, obtain a signed agreement form and bring it to the internship advisor in Technology Center room 202 • The internship advisor will help you complete an Add slip to add the CIS299 and drop the alternative course. This should be done by drop/add cutoff date
