Inspired by the technology driven phrases Americans chose to put on Sweethearts this year, Sweethearts created an App for iPhone and Twitter users. The App allows users to personalize up to five Sweethearts with 25-character messages on each. This personalized box of Sweethearts can then be sent to friends and loved ones via Twitter, making it even easier to say something short and sweet with Sweethearts candies in the digital age. The virtual box delivered will show up on the sender’s Twitter timeline or as a direct message to the recipient. When the box is delivered, the recipient can “shake out” the hearts to read what has been sent to them.
iPhone and iPod touch users can download the App at the Apple Store. Those without an iPhone or iPod touch can access the app for Twitter by visiting www.mysweethearts.com.
How to send a personalized box of Sweethearts:
1. Log in to the Apple Store or visit mysweethearts.com 2. Find the Sweethearts App, download and put on your iPhone 3. Once the Sweethearts App is open on your screen, log in using your Twitter username and password (users must have a Twitter account to use the application) 4. Next, have fun and flick around the Sweethearts on your iPhone screen or shake them around 5. To begin creating a heart, tap the “Add Heart” button or tap one of the hearts on the screen to edit 6. A large heart appears with a keypad for you to begin creating your 25-character message 7. You can send up to five hearts, and when you are finished the Sweethearts are “boxed up” and sent to your Twitter user of choice via their timeline or direct message 8. Add a personal message that will show up on the sender’s Twitter timeline or as a direct message to the recipient. 9. Watch your personalized Sweethearts drop into the box and send off! 10. The personal message along with a link to view your customized Sweethearts box will be seen on the sender’s Twitter timeline or as a direct message to the recipient. 11. See what others are saying to their sweeties by clicking on the message on other Twitter users’ timelines
