We are proud to announce that a significant number of donations have been made to the school already this year. Sponsored Pancake Flip
nd

February 24th February

By the time you receive this, the 2 Sponsored Pancake Flip will take place on Shrove Tuesday. This year the Juniors did their pancake race too. Please ensure the sponsorship money is returned by Monday 2nd March in order for your child to benefit as soon as possible from the funds raised.

Mothers Day Craft Event

Hall, 21st March, School Hall, 2pm – 4:30pm

Calling all Dad’s – bring your children along to sort out special Mother’s Day gifts. Bacon butties, tea, coffee, cakes & newspapers will be available for you to enjoy, while the children can design, paint, stick, thread and create gifts that Mum will really appreciate. If Dad can’t make it, the PTA team will help out so that Mum doesn’t see the surprises! Again, if you can help out, let the PTA know.

Fashion Show – 23rd April
Come along to the school hall for a cat-walk parade starring some willing parents! Maybe it’ll be your chance to shine as you sashay along the catwalk as 8 parents are required to model clothes sized 10-18. Clothes will be on sale afterwards and there will be a bar and a raffle.

Bag 2 School Collection – date to be confirmed, latest 8th May
Our first collection of unwanted clothes, linen, soft toys etc yielded £126. Many of us found it very therapeutic having a good old clear out, so we plan to do it again in May, if not earlier!

Schools of Chesham Carnival – 13th June
Following the fantastic fun and success of last year’s carnival, Flegg Transport has again agreed to donate a float for Chesham Bois School. The design team are finalising details and will soon be announcing the theme for the truck. The plan is for the children to be involved in creating elements for the float at school – so it is going to be a real team effort again this year, giving the children a huge sense of ownership and involvement. Look out for details later this term.

onFinally, don’t forget our on-going initiatives:
The Shopping Voucher Scheme – convert your cash to vouchers (at no cost to you) and the school will receive a donation from the big supermarkets. EasyFundraising.org, register online and choose to support Chesham Bois PTA. Then use their site to click through to the major retailers (Amazon, Argos, ToysRus, Tesco, Next, Boots, M&S and many more). Make your order as usual and then they will donate funds to the PTA. Chocoholics – they really taste as good as they look in the catalogue! Catalogues are out NOW -look in the book bag, spare ones in the library. If you don’t want to order, please pass it on to the next person on the list asap. Mobile phones: If you get a new phone, please consider donating the old one to our cause. The phone has to be intact (i.e. with battery) but no chargers please. Just hand into the office. Further details are on www.cheshambois-pta.org.uk
