							                                JAFAE Study Tour 2009 in Korea

The Japanese Association for Asian Englishes (JAFAE) will hold the JAFAE Study Tour 2009 in
accordance with the information listed below. If you are interested in this tour, please contact the
coordinator, HIGUCHI Ken’ichiro (higuchi@sugiyama-u.ac.jp), no later than October 5.

 Tour dates: 22/November (Sunday) – 25/November (Wednesday), 2009
   ・ Tour participants will meet at the designated hotel on the afternoon of November 22 and
      disband on the morning of November 25.
   ・ Tour participants will meet in Seoul, Korea. There are regular flights from Japan to Seoul
      so please choose the flight that best suits you.
   ・ We kindly ask all participants to make flight reservation themselves. However, you may
      contact the coordinator if you want to have ticket arrangement and he will introduce the
      travel agency that can assist you. You may also contact the coordinator if you have inquiries
      about entering Korea earlier or staying behind after the study tour.

 Accommodation: Highest or first class hotel in the city of Seoul (located in the Kangnam area).
   We will make the reservation in bulk.

 Proposed places for the study tour and the main schedule:
     November 22 (Sunday)
        ・ Meet in the lobby of hotel at 17:00.
            (We strongly advise all participants to arrive at the Incheon International Airport before
             13:00 on that day.)
        ・ Welcome Dinner
     November 23 (Monday)
        ・ Visit to an elementary school
        ・ Visit to a foreign language high school
     November 24 (Tuesday)
        ・ Visit to the Paju Campus of the Gyoenggi English Village
        ・ Sightseeing
        ・ Farewell Dinner
     November 25 (Wednesday)
        ・Disbanding ceremony will be held in the morning
* Private car with a Korean tour guide (and interpreter) will be provided during the study tour.
* We are still adjusting the schedule and the above information may be changed,

 Fee (excluding the cost of a round-trip ticket from Japan to Seoul):
     ・Plan A (the highest class hotel): 100,000 yen ・Plan B (the first class hotel): 85,000 yen

 Number of participants: approximately 10 (members of the JAFAE and their family members)
