					RN-BS PROGRAM
Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) with a diploma or associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited (NLNAC) program? The VCU School of Nursing RN-BS Completion Program allows you to earn your BS in nursing while working full-time as a Registered Nurse. Most RN-BS classes meet monthly and are scheduled on Friday evenings and/or Saturdays at locations across Virginia. The program can be finished in as few as 18 months, but students can take up to six years to complete the program. The VCU School of Nursing RN-BS Completion Program allows you to earn your BS in nursing while working full-time as a Registered Nurse. Most RN-BS classes meet monthly and are scheduled on Friday evenings and/or Saturdays at VCU School of Nursing and other locations across Virginia. VCU School of Nursing faculty are currently teaching RN-BS classes at the following off campus locations: University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth and at the Institute of Advanced Learning and Research in Danville. All off campus sites are enrollment and budget dependent. Applicants transfer in 53 credits of general education courses and receive 36 credits for nursing courses completed in their associate or diploma program when they complete Nurs 308 in the RN-BS Completion Program.

Applying to the program Students are admitted to full-time and part-time curriculum plans in the fall semester. The application deadline is March 15. Interested	applicants	are	strongly	encouraged	to	attend	one of our weekly information sessions to learn more about the RN-BS Completion program and applying to the VCU School of Nursing.
