Growing in Faith by Faith
To the brethren who are searching for Gods guidance and peace, this letter is dedicated to you; this is not for the faint of heart or the Sunday believer. God is searching for the true believer, the ones who fears not what the world can do or will do to him, this is for the man who’s only purpose is to do God’s will. I pray that this letter may be an encouragement to this individual. What is faith, it is the total letting go of all that our human desires and psychological fears that we feel are essential to our survival. Let me put it this way, the survival of our human ego. That part of us that feels that we cannot let go of our human need to think and try to resolve our problems Man is a creature that feels that his main concern is himself. He expresses his doubts, only for the benefit of his own needs, and desires This has never occurred as it is happening in this century, with all the prosperity ands blessings God has given to us. We as a civilization reached a zenith of achievements in technology and science, yet we have lost the social skills of human want and needs. To love God is to know him, faith in the unseen is difficult but in God its Tremendous. When he touches you in his way and gives you the peace and security of his love, not all else matters. The beauty to lose oneself in that sea that is the lord is to gain insight of what heaven is all about. On the virtue of forgiveness, this is one of the steps to becoming an overman not in the sense of the Nitzschean theory of the ubermensch. Where man will overcomes his anxieties and fears and all human instincts of love, hate. Nitzsche stated that man would over come all human and psychological instincts to become a superman. Our superman here is the man who seeks God with all his heart, soul and mind. He is totally God driven to known him as creator and friend. His faith is total abandonment in God as creator and friend, no more worries about tomorrow or having thoughts about what shall I eat or drink. He shall have the glorious knowledge that he provides all in his grace and blessings thru his presence. How many times are we obsessed by failures or bad decisions that we have made in the past? Grief’s and past pains dry up our hearts from love that we should be accumulating for the Lord. However, by giving it all to him and very readily that thru our efforts thinking or planning no `preparation can succeed. We are a sinful people. We must realize that our sinful life and deeds, we cannot achieve anything solid or grounded, which lasts. For we are a people who are never satisfied with what we have, or have perceive to accomplish for it is never enough. For our eyes can never see enough or our ears hear enough we will always want more. We must pray to God for guidance on our decisions, and ask the Lord for forgiveness of our sins. Thru prayer and meditations on his word, the Apostles received power from above and only after forty days of deep prayer, they rewarded. Remember are we not heirs to the same promises that they were. For were they not also sinners as we are, we must note that is was not them but the Holy
Spirit in them that produced this incredible spiritual and social revolution that is Christianity. Many a believer today asks the important question, where are the miracles and healings of old today? I tell them that they are happening every minute of everyday throughout the world, to the poor, simple and uneducated people who have nothing to lose, yet everything to gain in Christ. Total surrender to Christ Yes I mean total, absolute and unyielding surrender to him, to cry out as Jacob did “I will not let you go until you bless me”. Do we mean total dependence on him, this is the hardest and probability one of the most extremely misunderstood concepts in Christian terminology of today. Hard as this may seem giving up of what we have acquired all our life seem extreme, by yet this is what the lord expects from this is exactly what the Lord expects from us. He wants us as children totally dependant on him, while at the same time he will be our closes friend who we may confide our secret needs and desires. Happy is the man who confides in the Lord so said David in his relationship to God. Total surrender and letting go of all our goals and material possessions is hard even for the kingdom, yet this is precisely what the Apostles and early disciples for the kingdom. We are obliged to work and wait for the Lords return, yet at the same time our chief preoccupation is on the kingdom not the early kingdom? Modern man has come up with many a theory to understanding his failure in accepting God. If this were only involving non-believers, we could acknowledge this as the enemy at work in this world? For this is not the actuality of the problem, but we see this is becoming a great problem in the church. Let us closely look at what is happening in our mists, we have become a people of unforgiveness to our self and others. We fail to fall on our knees and ask the Lord for a forgiving heart, where are the prayers for our enemies, so that they too may find the Lord. Too many times in our enthusiasm to fight the good fight, we lose our focus on God. Our works, not our words reflect the Lord to others In how many pulpits in our nations today politic is described as being Godly inspired. ; Let forget that the Lord’s kingdom is not of this earth, and that our citizenship is in heaven! Shall we take the Lord lightly and try to think he has need of our politics and leaders to carry out his will? Surely, he can use anyone and anything for his glory, but our agenda’s are not his, unless we are in his will. To know Gods will we must, first ask ourselves, how does the Lord benefit from it. Is his glory the reason for our scope? Have we prayed and fasted to hear his answer, do we put ourselves out of the picture and his glory in it. Total Sacrifice: I feel in my heart that a Christian who dies a millionaire is a sin against God. Why has this man horded all this money for himself, and not thought that this blessing was given to him for a reason? I feel that God has at times, given certain people financial wealth so that it should be used for his kingdom and not his own selfish desires are manifested. In these latter years, I have seen many a believer accumulate material possessions, and take the argument that these are all blessings from God. Yes, brothers and sisters God bless us so that we could bless others in need. For we most remember that this accumulation of worldly possessions could also be a curse to flee. For many seek security and safety in these so called blessings not the creator.
It pain me to hear from different pulpits and preachers when, they say that what is in the world today will be in the church in a few years. It deeply saddens me to realize that the corrupt values of this lost world are becoming acceptable within the wall of God’s house. We are becoming pacified by a counterfeit system of thoughts and indoctrinated by a bankruptcy system of education, which has produced well-educated and non-believing churchgoers. Non-forgiveness. I have been in valleys of not forgiveness, where not everything that the church and leadership did was to the standard that God wanted. The Lord has shown me that at times I was right with some criticism and that the positions on certain topic of worship and praise have been changed to the point that I had suggested. For in all my criticism I was not blessed with the peace of the lord, for I had done it in anger. Even thought the anger was not directly spoken to the person I had it in my heart. God saw my heart and he was not well pleased, this caused my valleys and trials. I had hit the marks, but not in a pious and humble spirit unto the Lord. Yes, brothers and sisters I am telling you this account about one of my trials so that you see what the Lord has put in my heart. He has taken me to write about faith in him, for we are in the End Times and he is shaking, and molding his remnant. For we will see great and frightful sights in the near future and only the Over comer will be unshaken and not fearful for what the Lord has prepared for mankind. On Reading the Word: Our enemy is having a field day in our Seminaries and Bible colleges, with the massive amounts of learning that is being taught, yet what is lacking is the power of the Holy Spirit. Degrees, programs and initials after one’s name are a sign of academic advancement, but we must remember what the Lord say to us to leave everything and follow me. Pray brethren that we ask God’s forgiveness, and rely on his mercies to pull us through that which is to come. We human beings are a very hardheaded sort, this includes believers also? We seek to accomplish everything by our own forces; we accept the reports of doctors and medicines in our physical lives! Yet that of the creators we only run to when all hope is gone, our faith is stored in a spiritual box and only used in spiritual matters? For let us reason and realize that God is there for us in all matters. People tell us that God does not reply in the small thing, I ask you would your best friend or parent help you. Then I say so much more will the Lord.
