By acquiring an account through ParentConnection, you will be able to view your child(ren)'s grades and attendance. This is only available for students in grades 2 through 12 since it is only in those grades that teachers use the GradeSpeed program. 8. Where do I find bus scheduling information for my student? If you have questions about your child's bus schedule, please contact your campus. 9. What school will my child attend next year? Elementary and middle school attendance zones were reconfigured for the 2008-09 school year. There are a variety of clubs and activities to meet the needs and interests of our students. Beginning with the 200809 school year, New Braunfels HIgh School will offer Zero Hour courses. Contact NBHS at (830) 627-6000 for more information. The YMCA offers after-school care at several elementary campuses. 11. What information do I need to bring with me when I register my child with the district? In addition to showing proof of residency in NBISD, the parent or legal guardian of a student new to NBISD must provide their child’s Social Security card, birth certificate, and up-to-date immunization record. NBISD has designed a section of the website devoted to student registration. 12. What school supplies does my child need? A complete school supply listing can be found on the website in the Back-to-School section. 13. What can my child wear and not wear to school? For a copy of the dress code for elementary and secondary campuses, link to the website’s Back-to-School section at www.newbraunfels.txed.net. The dress code will also be included in all student handbooks given to students at the beginning of the school year. 14. Who handles school lunch and breakfast concerns and menu questions? NBISD Food Services – offered through ARAMARK – sets the monthly lunch menus, prices, and other information. Call 830-627-6742.
