Anti-mouse Chemerin Antibody
ORDERING INFORMATION Background
Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The
Catalog Number: MAB23251 Chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the
C-terminus. Mature active Chemerin is a 15 - 16 kDa heparin binding protein that
induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with
Lot Number: ZZI02
ChemR23. Mature mouse Chemerin shares 63% and 73% aa sequence identity with
human and rat Chemerin, respectively.
Size: 500 μg
Formulation: 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse
with 5% trehalose myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, E. coli-derived,
recombinant mouse Chemerin (rmChemerin; aa 17 - 156; Accession # Q9DD06). The
Storage: -20° C IgG fraction of the tissue culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity
Reconstitution: sterile PBS
Specificity: mouse Chemerin Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with
Immunogen: E. coli-derived rhChemerin 5% trehalose.
Ig class: rat IgG2B Reconstitution
Reconstitute with sterile PBS. If 1 mL of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be
Recommended Application: 500 μg/mL.
Lyophilized samples are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored
at -20° C to -70° C. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 2° - 8° C for
1 month without detectable loss of activity. Reconstituted antibody can also be
aliquotted and stored frozen at -20° C to -70° C in a manual defrost freezer for
six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
When used as a detection antibody with MAB23251 in sandwich ELISAs, there was no
cross-reactivity or interference with rhChemerin, rmCystatin C, or rmFetuin A.
ELISA capture - This product can be used as a capture reagent in a mouse Chemerin
sandwich immunoassay in combination with biotinylated mouse Chemerin detection
antibody (Cat. # BAM2325) and recombinant mouse Chemerin (Cat. # 2325-CM) as the
standard. The suggested coating concentration range is 2 - 8 μg/mL and should be
titrated to determine the optimal concentration. A general protocol is provided at
Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
