Structures having the general form of a ladder but primarily intended for a different purpose (eg ladder scaffolding, lattice towers) are not classified here The heading part embraces the organisation and construction of ladders; elements of ladders; attachments and ancillary equipment for ladders; associations of ladders with other apparatus. E1S Building-appliances &c—cont E1S _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PART C: Temporary shuttering This heading part is concerned with the structural and functional organisation of temporary shuttering and with techniques and procedures peculiar to its use Explanation of subject matter of Part C and relationships with other headings This heading part is general for apparatus and techniques peculiar to the in-situ casting of relatively massive structures (mainly buildings) using bulk settable material. The subject matter found here will thus be concerned primarily with the on-site assembly or disassembly of relatively large, load bearing moulding surfaces and/or with the placing of such surfaces in the required spatial disposition. Temporary shuttering for brick arches and the like can also be found here. Casting apparatus and techniques which are of more general applicability, eg for casting discrete objects, are dealt with in heading B5A, Moulding plastic substances &c A shuttering is regarded as temporary if it is not intended to be left in place in or on the finished structure. Constructional features of permanent shuttering, ie that which is intended to form part of the finished structure; are subject matter for heading E1D, Buildings &c. Also included are apparatus and techniques for prefabrication of building components not otherwise provided for in this or any other heading Constructional and associated operations involving relatively small prefabricated components or limp materials (terms SAA-SAH) Classified here are disclosures concerned with apparatus, aids and techniques for the fabrication of structures from components such as bricks or blocks, including mortar and like applicators for laying beds of predetermined thickness, alignment jigs and builders' lines. Gardeners' lines are also found here because of their general similarity to builders' lines. Examples of limp materials are roofing felt and insulation rolls. Techniques involving temporary shuttering however are found in Part C and permanent shuttering constructional features are in heading E1D, Buildings &c.
