Dear Colleagues, Please see below information about a consultation, which may be of interest to your members and networks, concerning the national review of the Community Development Work Standards (by Lifelong Learning UK and the Federation for Community Development Learning). We would be very grateful if you could circulate this information to as many interested people and networks as you can. The short information flyer below contains links to an online questionnaire and information about the series of free consultation events taking place across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales this autumn. This phase of the consultation ends in early November, so please try and promote widely and also get involved yourselves! These standards should describe what a person needs to do, know and understand to carry out their role in a consistent and competent way. The Standards will have useful applications for all those charged with empowering their local community – helping with the recruitment and development of all staff involved in this work (from constructing job descriptions through to informing career development).
