                        You must have passed or be registered for Gen. Chem 1 (CHM 2045)
   REQUIREMENTS
                        lecture in order to register for Bio 1. Then, you must register for both a
                        Biology 1 lecture and lab at the same time—put in both reference num-
                        bers before you click on “Submit”. If you do not follow these steps, you
                        will receive a “Pre-req and test score error” message.

THERE ARE NO OPEN       You just have to keep checking the schedule and when a lab opens up

                        – grab it! There are no exceptions to this rule if you are taking Bio 1 for
                        the first time.

  I JUST NEED TO        Request a permit using the online permit form. The advisor will see that

                        mit to take just the part you want to retake.

                        1. Register for your Gen Chem 1 first (if needed)—then register for Bio
                           1. Otherwise you will receive the “Pre-req and test score error” mes-
                           sage. If you have transferred your Gen Chem 1 from an out-of-state
                           or private school, you will need a permit because the system does-
                           n’t recognize your course code.
                        2. The Bio 1 lecture and lab must be open in order to register for them.
                        3. If you need to retake just one part, get your permit in advance. We
                           cannot help you if you register for both lecture and lab and then
                           want to drop one of them. There isn’t any kind of permit we can give
                           you to let you drop just one part.

                           and lab by the Registrar.
