Explanation of “Occupations by Assessment Codes” “Occupations by assessment codes” is one of the options in the career center of the Arizona Workforce Informer. Occupational assessments can be very helpful tools in deciding which occupations are potential good matches for an individual. As has been said in many ways by many people, the first step to success is knowing which direction to go. This is true for occupations as well. Arizona Workforce Informer utilizes two sources for assessment codes: Work Value Scores and Holland Interest Codes. But where can an individual get these scores? The Arizona Career Information System (AzCIS) can provide results for both of these codes. The Work Importance Locator in AzCIS provides Work Value Scores and the Interest Profiler provides Holland Interest codes. The Work Importance Locator can be completed in about 15-30 minutes, and the Interest Profiler in about 30-35 minutes. The Arizona Career Information System (AzCIS) is available for use at no charge at One Stop Centers, DES Job Service offices, and schools throughout the state of Arizona.
