3 pints (1,8litres) water 8 oz (225g) butter 4l b (2k g) sugar 1lb(450g) condensed milk

Put the water and butter into a deep heat bowl. Heat gently until the butter has melted. Stir in the sugar and bring to boil , stirring slowing all the time.When the mixture is boiling add chose flavouring (vainilla lemon peppernint, or orange). Beat hard for 5 minutes and pour into a greasend tin.Leave for 5 minutes. And mark into squares or baes.Cut and remove when cold.
