INTRODUCTION
The DAVCO Slow Flow Meter is typically installed in conjunction with the DAVCO Oil Level Regulator, but can be
used in other applications that require a Slow Flow Meter. The meter is used to measure oil consumption less than
10 gph (37.9 lph) on engines and compressors. The two piston, positive displacement design allows slow flow fluid
measurements with 0.5% accuracy at extremely low flow rates.
An integral pressure regulator accommodates inlet pressures from 3.5 psi (24.13 kPa) to 100 psi (689.47 kPa). Out-
let pressure is regulated not to exceed a pressure of 3.5 psi (24.13 kPa).

INSTALLING A SINGLE/DUAL READOUT IN A
HAZARDOUS LOCATION
A hazardous location would include but is not limited to
those locations where risk of spark is a concern.

    WARNING: To prevent personal injury, all
   standard, necessary precautions should be taken
   when working in a hazardous environment.
Step 1: Install the Slow Flow Meter as described in the
section entitled “Installing the Slow Flow Meter,” running
the coaxial cable per local construction and electrical
codes.
Step 2: Mount the Remote Readout as described in the
section entitled “Installing a Remote Readout,” making
sure the Remote Readout is located in a safe area.
Step 3: Install one of the safety barrier(s) described be-
low, in-line on the safe side of the appropriate wire(s).
