           R.N CURRICULUM FOR LICENSED VACATIONAL NURSES

Option 1 Prerequisites are the same as those for as those for a generic R.N nursing
          student, and includes current California VN LICENSE AND NURSING
          N276B which must be taken the semester the student enters. The curriculum
          for the L.V.N who chooses Option 1 is the same as that of a generic R.N
          student with the exception that N276A N265 and N66 are not required.
Option 2 (30 Unit Option/Non-graduate)
         Prerequisites include a current California VN license, Physiology 1,
         Microbiology 1 or 20. High school graduate or equivalent required prior to
         BRN licensure examination (NCLEX).
Note   Licensure may be limited to the State of California. Also, the student is not
       considered a graduate of the nursing program and does not qualify for the AS.
       Students selecting this option must be counseled by Nursing Chairperson.
