                   APPROACHES
• Strengthen coordination/participation in all programme
  areas to Narrow Development Gap among ASEAN
  member countries.

• Encourage a conducive environment for Greater
    Private Sector Involvement and Participation,
    including securing foreign direct investment.

• Enhance human resources and Capacity Building
  skills.

                  APPROACHES
• Develop & Expand the Energy Mix and Supply
  Source through utilization of full energy potential of the
  region to include frontier exploration and development
  and extensive research on oil, natural gas, coal,
  hydropower, geothermal, EE & C and NRE.

• Develop Transparent Legal, Regulatory &
  Technical Frameworks in various energy projects, in
  particular on the cross border interconnection
  projects.

              Term of Reference
• ASEAN’S VISION 2020
• 1st Consultative Meeting – Apr ’03 – Manila
• Objective: To create an ASEAN body that shall undertake
  regional energy policy analysis; oversee the preparation, evaluation &
  monitoring of regional energy plans; and conduct environmental
  impact analysis of energy development and facilitate the application of
  environmental mechanisms in the energy sector.

• Meeting: REPP-SSN shall hold a regular annual meeting –
  preferably 3 months prior to the SOME/AMEM Meetings. ACE shall
  serve as the Secretariat of REPP-SSN.
