We have a need to search Jive content from an external application. I am trying to locate
any information that will identify which API or which technology (i.e. Lucene, Solr, etc.) we
could use to perform searches against Jive's content. We are hosting our own instance
of Jive on our own servers and have all the necessary access to web services and/or file
systems. Could someone please give me a hint? Thanks.

Hi Scott,

Jive Knowledge Base doesn't have Webservices functionality so searching for content would
not be easily achieved outside of the application itself. In order to do this you would have
to find a way to access the lucene index. However, I should note that Jive KB is no longer
supported so this is about as much as I am able to help here. I would say to take a look at
the doucmentation and see what you can find.

If you can find a way to hook into the search index, that would be the best method but it
won't be easy. Thanks.
