     Fine tune / correct any issues prior to dives

     Neutral buoyancy!
BUOYANCY

                    REMEMBER

 Better buoyancy + slower breathing = better air
    consumption + longer bottom time!
SURFACE AIR CONSUMPTION RATE

   SACR

     Why is this useful information?

 But how do we figure out air consumption?
GETTING THE SACR

 First we must determine the DACR

        PSI BURNED / TIME = PSI per MINUTE

             say we’ve used 500 PSI in ten minutes at a depth
        Let’s
        of 33 feet. What is our DACR?
GETTING THE SACR

 Now we must figure out our depth in ATA or
    atmosphere’s absolute

       ATA   = DEPTH / 33 + 1

              33 / 33 = 1 + 1 = 2 ATA
GETTING THE SACR

SACR = DACR / ATA

 SACR = 50 / 2

         = 25 PSI / minute
