STEP 6: Choose what type of wood you would like to use: ash, oak, birch, alder, mahogany STEP 7: Tape drill template to wood. STEP 8: Use awl to mark your holes. STEP 9: Use combination square to mark your chamfers. STEP 10: Use drill press to drill your holes. Use clamp to secure your wood from spinning. Determine proper drill bit size. Use chuck key to tighten drill bit in chuck. REMOVE CHUCK KEY! Use depth stop to create a consistent hole depth. STEP 11: Use disc sander to create your chamfers. Adjust table to 45 degrees. Place wood flat on the table. DO NOT PUT WOOD ON RED SIDE OF TABLE! Lightly push wood into sander, moving it slowly side to side. o Keep fingers at least two inches away from disc. STEP 12: Use sand paper to smooth out your wood. STEP 13: Apply finish. Use generous, yet moderate amount of finish. Apply to entire board. Wipe away all excess finish. Let dry. Apply again, this time use 600 grit sand paper. Repeat as desired. Be sure to let dry between each coat. STEP 14: Create rules. Objective – what is the final goal of the game? Equipment – what do you need to play? Set-up – what should the equipment look like before game play begins? How to play. Rules – at least 3-5 rules to the game. This is different from how to play the game. Diagram – graphic that helps visually show some detail about your game. STEP 15: Design box. Box should have your name and name of game.
