How to Create a New IEP on the Excent

							         How to Create a New IEP on the Excent Program

Step 1: The old IEP is “final” in the status bar.
(You cannot make a new IEP, if the old IEP is still “in progress.”)




Step 2: Highlight Individualized Education Plan in the
document types tab.




Step 3: Click the New button.




Trouble Shooting: The New button is grayed out.
One of two things to look at:
1. The old IEP is still “in progress.” Only one IEP can be “in progress” at a time.
Therefore, in order to create a new IEP, the old IEP must be in “final” status.
2. Individualized Education Plan is not highlighted. Therefore, the program does
not recognize what form is to be created.
