							                                  How to configure Novell on the Mac

    1. Click on Open Preferences from the Tree menu




    2. Fill in the User Defaults

              •    Tree: UNCCHARLOTTE
              •    Context: make sure you use the leading period
              •    Check the Use These As Defaults box

    3. Show at login (bootup) & Mount-Root User home Directory (will mount H: drive) are
       optional




    4. Make no Changes in the Advanced Settings tab

    5. Click the Service Location Tab

    6. Click the Directory Agent button
    7. Type in coba03nw.uncc.edu in the box under Static Directory Agent list
    8. Click the Add button

    9. In the box beside the IP address type Campus for the scope (you may have to click in the
        scope box several times to get the cursor in it.
    10. Type in uncc01nw.uncc.edu in the box under Static Directory Agent list
    11. Click the Add button
    12. In the box beside the IP address type Campus for the scope (you may have to click in the
        scope box several times to get the cursor in it.
    13. Click the Save Button




    14. Close the Preferences Window

    15. Choose Login from the Tree Menu




    16. Type in the NinerNET credentials.

    17. If logged in successfully, the Tree menu will now have “green leaves” and the Login
        window will change to the Logout window.



    18. Choose the Browse tab and “browse” to your server and click Mount to mount the
        volume (or click the manual mount button and enter the IP address of your server)




    19. Choose Mounts tab and check the check box beside your server so that it will auto mount
        the next time you login.




    20. Repeat the Browse and mount procedures for any other volumes needed.
