THE WINNING STRATEGY
• Texas Senate Bill 1395, approved June 17, 2005, allowed for the establishment of a high school diploma program under the supervision of the Texas Education Agency at the Gary Job Corps center. • The A. Edward Gary High School was dedicated by Texas Commissioner Shirley Neeley on May 22, 2006 and enrollment began on August 2006. • If a high school dropout from your school enrolls in the A. Edward Gary High School you will not be assessed with a dropout penalty. • Your high school graduates can also enroll and obtain industry-recognized certifications in one of 24 career and technical education programs and enroll in college—all at no cost to the individual.
