Examination papers and duration: -Reading 1 hour -Writing 1 hour 20 minutes -Use of English 45 minutes -Listening approximately 40 minutes -Speaking 14 minutes by pairs Important: The Speaking papers will take place within the Speaking window period indicated above (except on the Written papers’ date). Before you register, please check your availability for those dates as your Speaking test date cannot be changed under any circumstances. Candidates will receive a Notification letter by post one month prior to the session. If it this is not the case, please contact us ASAP. Once registered with Cambridge ESOL, i.e. after the registration deadline, no refunds and no rescheduling will be possible. However if a candidate cannot attend the exam for medical reasons, a 50 % refund can be made provided we receive a medical statement and a RIB within 5 days of the session. We need a minimum of 10 candidates per session. If this number is not met, the session will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund. YOUR EXAM STEP BY STEP

Information Information (dates, fees, preparation etc.) about Cambridge ESOL exams is available on our Web site, from our Exams Office, or from your school. Special arrangements We can organise exams for people with disabilities. Please contact us ASAP and at least 3 months before the exam session. Registration Candidates must fill in the registration form and return it to our Services with a cheque. Before registering candidates should check their availability both for the Written papers’ fixed date and for the entire duration of the Speaking window period. Statement of registration Upon receipt of the registration form, candidates will receive a Statement of registration within 10 working days. Notification letter Candidates will receive a Notification letter by post one month prior to the session. If this is not the case, they must contact us ASAP. Sitting the Exam For all papers, candidates must be punctual. They must bring along their Notification letter and proof of identity. Results On the day of the Written papers candidates are given a letter bearing instructions in order to view their results on line. Results are usually published 8 weeks after the exam session (the actual date will be quoted on the letter). Please keep this letter in a safe place. Despatch to Cambridge ESOL After the exam all the papers are despatched to Cambridge ESOL to be marked. We also send any name amendments and Special consideration forms, if applicable. Diplomas On the day of the exam candidates are told when they can come to the British Council to pick up their diplomas. Private candidates also have the choice of sending us a cheque for € 6 to receive their diplomas at home by registered post. School candidates must collect their diplomas from their teacher. Refunds If a candidate cannot attend the exam for medical reasons, a 50 % refund can be made provided we receive a medical statement and a RIB within 5 days of the exam session.
