CHECKLIST OF QUESTIONS FOR USASMDC PRESENTATION Representatives from the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Huntsville, Alabama will be in Anchorage on 23-25 October 2000 to perform preliminary market research. The SMDC would like to perform informal assessments of 8(a) firms’ (owned by Alaska Native Corporations) capabilities to perform Base Operations Support Services (BOSS) under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561210 (Facilities Support Services) – Base Maintenance with a small business size standard of $20 million. If you are interested in presenting a capabilities briefing to SMDC, please contact your firm's Business Opportunity Specialist at your earliest convenience. The presentations will be conducted at: U.S. Federal Building & Courthouse 222 West 7th Avenue Anchorage, Alaska Visitor parking is located at the corner of C & 7th Streets (Across "C" Street from the Main Federal Building) The room number will be given to you when you call for your appointment. THE PRESENTATIONS MAY NOT EXCEED 45 MINUTES - THAT INCLUDES A QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD. Presentation equipment will NOT be provided. The capability briefings will be presented to SBA/SMDC representatives. In order to keep the presentations focused, each firm is to provide the following information during their time slot. 1. Provide qualifications of existing professional and non-professional personnel resources. 2. Provide references, including points of contact, phone number, contract number, from which to verify past performance. 3. Discuss major subcontractors and define their capabilities. How long has the prime worked with the subcontractor? 4. Discuss the firms’ experience specific to Base Maintenance (Base Operation Support Services). 5. Discuss availability, access to equipment, vehicles, machinery, financing, and additional personnel. 6. Discuss the firms’ approach of working with the local community and current contractors at Ft Greely. 7. How will the firm adjust/handle significant change to workload?
