Planning
Planning is the management function that involves setting goals and finding the best way to achieve those goals. It determines in advance that what is to be done? How it is to be done? When it is to be done and who will do it? Planning is beneficial because the process itself provides classification.      Change can be anticipated and clarification. It gives direction and focuses attention on objectives. It reduces overlapping and wasteful activities. Continuity of action is improved Evaluation and control are facilitated. The evidence generally supports the relationship between formal planning and improved organizational performance. The determination of the goals and objectives of an enterprise and the selection, through a systematic consideration of alternatives, of the policies, programs and procedures for achieving them. An activity devoted to clearly identifying, defining, and determining courses of action, before their initiation, necessary to achieve predetermined goals and objectives. Establishing a broad outline for goals, policies and procedures that will accomplish the objectives of the organization. The process of setting development goals and policy, gathering and evaluating information, and developing alternatives for future actions based on the evaluation of the information.

National College Of Business Administration

The noun “planning” has 3 senses in word net.    Planning – (an act of formulating a program for a definite course of action). Planning – (the act or process of drawing up plans or layouts for some project or enterprise). Planning, preparation, provision – (the cognitive process of thinking about what you will do in the event of something happening). This initial stage is where you define your goals and objectives for the business school begin to collect and analyze the information you’ll need to justify the budget and resources required. This is also the time to define the scope of the site content, the interactive functionality and technology support required, and the depth and breadth of information resources that you will need to fill out the your school and meet your student’s expectations. If you are contracting out the production of the school, you will also need to interview and select a school. Ideally, your school designers should be involved as soon as possible in the planning discussions. The 1st step in designing any school is to define your goals. Without a clearly stated mission and goals the project will drift, bog down, or continue pas an appropriate endpoint. Careful planning a clear purpose are the keys to success in building school, particularly when you are working as part of a development team.

Objectives And Goals
Objectives:
We define objectives to be the end toward which all activity is directed. The suggest aspirations; desired ends that the organization attempts to realize. All functional organizational activity should be directed toward objectives and the organization’s performance should be determined by the degree to which it achieves these objectives. State the specific outcomes that an organization expects to accomplish within a given or stated time frame. Should be detailed enough to provide an overall sense of what exactly is desired without outlining the specific steps necessary to achieve that end. Objectives are specific and measurable targets for accomplishment during the state time frame. Objectives link Upward to Goals and linked Downward to Strategies and they also link Directly to Outcome/Effectiveness measures. Every objective should have at least one strategy. Whenever possible, every objective should be linked to an outcome measure. Objectives are statements of specific, measurable steps towards attaining a goal. Since goal is abstract and not fully measurable, objectives permit appraisal to progress towards achieving that goal. A long-term statement that is directly related to the Corporate Mission Statement. These statements are broad, measurable and are measured by specific measurable goals. Our main objective is to give quality of education and high-qualified staff.

National College Of Business Administration

Goals:
“Goals are the target that the company has set and want to achieve.” In other words we can say that goals are end result that an organization wishes to achieve. Goals are directly associated with planning, both goes parallel. Organizations typically have three levels of goals and with these goals they also have three parallel levels of planning. This level of planning and goals is also know as hierarchy of goals and planning.

Opportunities and Strategy
Opportunities:
“Opportunities are the chance avail by any organization to take proper growth.” The importance of education for human resource development does not need any elucidation. Globally, it has been observed that countries attached the highest priority to education are very much successive. Since the development of other sectors like health, agriculture and industry is dependent of education in the country. The Government of Pakistan accepts education as fundamental right for it’s citizens as well as its commitment to provide access to education to every citizen. But the Government faces constraints due to limited financial resources to spend on education sector. Therefore, the private sector investment is being encouraged with various incentives to lower the burden of the Government. Keeping in view the significant and emerging role of the private sector in the promotion of education at various levels, Government has introduced the concept of public – private partnership. The opportunities provided to private sector educational institutions are following:        

Government

incentives

and

policies

investment in education sector. General public awareness especially in rural areas about

importance of education. Provision of free land, or land on concessional rates in rural areas. Property tax exemption on business school buildings. Exemption of 50% income tax to private sector institutions for their faculty, management and support staff. Utilities availability on non – commercial rates. Extension of matching grants for establishing business school especially in rural areas. Exemption of custom duties on import of educational equipments. National College Of Business Administration

Undertaking necessary legislation to give charter to private sector institutions and facilitating their day-to-day affairs.

Strategies:
“Specific course of action through which an objective could be achieved is called strategy formation”. Strategies can be classified in to two types;   General Strategies Specific Strategies

General Strategies:
We follow the following strategies.  Stability ---- How we can exist in the market? Due to our competitor. Because they are also offering the same program and they are also well known organizations with large network. We will provide different way of teaching to the students. We want to build confidence in our students and make them good citizen and build the quality of decision-making.  Growth ---- We will expand our network and will open new branches. This will create more opportunities to us and you people in tow ways.   It will create more employment to the educated and experienced persons. It will be more helpful to us in making good will.

We really wish to grow with our employees. The main motive of our organization is to Share the experience, but also emotions, growth and success with the employees. We want to take care of those who take care of our students.

National College Of Business Administration

Specific Strategies:
Specific strategies identify more precise way for the organizations to match its capabilities with potential opportunities. The most relevant strategies that we will adopt are;  Service Offered ---- We shall provide quite different way of teaching. We will provide them better environment, infrastructure and many other facilities, which will help them a lot and after completing their studies they will be a shining star in their fields.  Conversion Process ---- We shall provide quality of education with the help of qualified staff and management. Management Structure
The structure we want to introduce in our school is centralize structure (Horizontal Structure). Dean will take all the necessary decisions. He is the person who is responsible for the management of the school.

Merits:
     It improves co-ordination by reducing duplication of work. Top managers usually have the required skills to take strategic decision necessary for the company. It promotes strong leadership. There is no delegation of authority. Decision-making is very quick.

National College Of Business Administration

Level Of Management
We are following a pattern of three level of management in our school.    Top Level Managers Middle Level Managers Frontline Managers

Top Level Managers:
Top-level managers are the persons who are responsible for the overall management. Top-level managers often referred to as strategic managers and are suppose to focus on long-term issues and emphasize the survival, growth and overall effectiveness of the organization. We’ve made a committee who will act as a top-level management and will make all the policies, will think what to do next? And will be responsible for all the activities carried on in our school.

Middle Level Managers:
As the name implies middle level managers are located in the organization’s hierarchy below top-level management and about the frontline managers. Some times called tactical managers, they are responsible for translating the general goals and plans developed by strategic managers into more specific way to the frontline managers. In other words they act as a bridge in between top-level management and frontline management. One more committee is made to act as middle level managers who will translate objective and goal of top-level managers to frontline managers.

National College Of Business Administration

Frontline Managers:
Frontline managers are also known as operational managers, are lower level managers who supervise the operations of the organization These managers often have titles such as supervisor. They are directly involved with non-management employee, implementing the specific plans developed with middle managers. This role is critical in the organization, because operational managers are the link between management and non-management personal.

Management Skills
Performing management functions and achieving competitive advantage are the cornerstones of a manager’s job. However, understanding this does not ensure success. Managers need a variety of skills to do these things well. Skills are specific abilities that result from knowledge, information, practice and aptitude. Although managers need many individual skills just like   Technical Skills ---- The ability to perform a specialized task involving a particular method or process. Conceptual and Decisions Skills ---- Skills pertaining to the ability to identify and resolve problems for the benefit of the organization and its members.  Interpersonal and Communication Skills ---- People skills the ability to lead, motivate and communicate effectively with other. To be the member of our top-level managers these all skills are required by any particular person.

Opportunities:
         Government incentives and policies conducive for private investment in education sector.

Marketing
“The process by which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationship in order to capture value from customers in return”.

Market Analysis
Our school is situated in district complex area of JHANG. This is the area, which is a bit away from JHANG city and free from all types of pollution. There is no business school in a near by area. We have chosen this area because it is very green area plus there is no traffic, no pollution and no noise of traffic. There is a school named as District Public School JHANG situates near our business school. This school is also one of the reasons to choose this area. As the school is near by so students will easily become aware of our business school and they can take easily information about our courses in which they can take admission after completing their intermediate. We’ve carefully inspected all area and found that there are three business schools situated in the mid of the city which provides education up to bachelor level only. This situation would also be in our favor of us. As after completing their bachelor level student will directly come to us to polish their career. The future of our business school is quite bright in this area.

Market Need
With the change in environment, needs are also changing. If we compare the needs of people living 10 or 15 years ago with the people of this age, we will see a huge difference. In this age, education has got a huge importance. Both male and female are going towards education. Parents want to educate their children because they want to give security to children. Because world is becoming uncertain without education no person can face the challenges of this world. So there is need for more and more educational institutions. National College Of Business Administration

JHANG is a big city and people don’t go to other areas for quality education. We can say education has become very important and we are going to fulfill the need of students.

Market Trend
With the passage of time, trends also change. We can divide them in two categories.   Permanent trends Temporary trends. Temporary come for some time but permanent trends stays forever. Trend about education is also changing in Pakistan people want to educate their children. Even poor people also want to educate their children so that they can provide a better future to their children. They see their children as future Doctors, engineers and business managers. So these desires motivate them to give quality education to their children’s in related fields. We are offering all the courses that make a base for students to fulfill the dreams of their parents and will also make the students good business managers of the future.

Market growth
Whenever need for any thing increases its demand also increases. With increases in demand, supply increases and market related to that product also grows. As education is also becoming very important for people so market for education is also growing very fast. A number of school and colleges are opening but the demand is also still increasing. Education has become an industry now with the popularity of science, commerce is also becoming very popular, and market for both the field is growing. The place where we are opening our academy is congested area. Population rate is very high in that area and there are number of colleges in that area. So there are high chance of good business and growth.

Marketing Plan
“Marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organization objectives”.

Marketing Strategy:
“The marketing strategies are the marketing logic by which the business unit hopes to achieve its marketing objectives Through market segmentation, marketing targeting and marketing positioning.

Market Segmentation:
“Market segmentation is a process of dividing the market in to different groups of buyers who have different needs, characteristics and behavior and how may require separate product or marketing mix. We have divided market segmentation in two categories:  

Geographic ---- Country, States and Cities. Demographic ---- Age, Gender, and Location comes under market demographics. As our target market is a graduation and master level student and the age of these students comes under 18 to 21 years. So we are targeting young people of this nation. In our school, we have coeducation system. Both male and female comes in our demographics.

National College Of Business Administration

Market Targeting:
“Market targeting is a process of evaluating all market segments and choosing one or more segments to enter”. The target market of our school can be divided into subgroups depending on different criteria. These market segments will depend primarily on the city and locally in which this institute is to be established. How ever, for simplicity, this target market can be divided into two major groups.   Students ---- Represents that group who are full time students. Professionals ---- Represents that group which in not full time student. They are doing job with their studies.

Market Positioning:
Market positioning is arranging for the product to acquire a distinct, clear and desirable position relative to the competitor’s product in the mind of the customer. As we are new in this business and we have selected a target market, now the next step is to make a good image in the mind of our target market. We will create a good image of our school by providing them good and open rooms, by providing them good and intelligent teachers. Students in schools are much concern about the teachers that is why we are providing best teachers. So we would be able to create a word of mouth, because word of mouth plays a very important role in positioning. So we will make good position in mind of people by providing them good and healthy services.

National College Of Business Administration

External Environment
“All relevant forces outside a firm’s boundaries such as competitors, customers, government and economy.”

Competitive Environment:
The immediate environment surrounding any business includes:      Competitors Threat Of New Entrants Threat Of Substitutes Suppliers Customers

Competitors:
Among the various components of the competitive environment, competitors within the industry must first deal with another. When organizations compete for the same customer and try to win market share at the others expense, all must react to and anticipate their competitors action. As we are providing the education to graduation and master levels. But here we are having competitors at graduation level. There are three collages that are our competitors;    New Pak Collage Of Commerce I.B.M City JHANG Government Degree Collage Of JHANG

National College Of Business Administration

Threat Of New Entrants:
New entrants are always threat but we are trying to make strategies that may prevent us from new entrants in future.

Threats Of Substitutes:
Our substitutes can be academies, private tuition center. But these are not threats for us. Because schools are the main gate through which any student pass to get the degree. No student can get degree from any academy.

Suppliers:
Suppliers provide the resources needed for production and may come in the form of people, raw materials, information and financial capital. So suppliers are important to an organization for reasons that go beyond the resources they provide. Supplier can raise their price or can provide low quality good and services. Powerful suppliers, then can reduce an organizations profit, particularly if the organization cannot pass on price increases to it customers.

Customers:
Customers purchase the products or services an organization offers. Our customers are our students and our object is to provide them best and quality education. There are two types of customers.   Final Customers Intermediate Customers As we are offering services so only final customers will come to us to buy our product as our tuitions is our product.

National College Of Business Administration

The Microenvironment:
“The most general environment includes;      Laws and Regulations Economy Technology Demographics Social Values

Law and Regulations:
The government can affect business opportunities through tax laws. Regulators are specific government organizations have the power to investigate company practices and take legal action to ensure compliance with the laws. As being a good citizen we are fulfilling all the legal requirements strictly instructed by the law and regulations to be followed.

Economy:
The economic environment dramatically affects organizations ability to function effectively and influences their strategic choices. So we’ve fixed the fees for the student that is absolutely affordable and students can pay the fees easily.

Technology:
Rapid change in technology has made technology very important resource in modern era. Organizations can be failing if they don’t update them selves according to the change in technology. So it is very necessary to one’s self update. In a school business computers are very common in use and the market of computers is rapidly keep on changing. According to this change we’ve made many strategic to keep our selves update.

National College Of Business Administration

Demographics:
Demographics are measures of various characteristics of the people comprising group or other social unit. Age, Gender, Location comes under market demographics. As our target market is a graduation and master level student and the age of these students comes under 18 to 21 years. So we are targeting young people of this nation. In our school, we have co-education system. Both male and female comes in our demographics.

Social Values:
Social trends regarding how people think and behave have major implications for management of staff and strategic decisions about products and services in market. We are making a strategy to make our staff happier. We want take care of those who takes care of our students.

Conclusion
At the end of this project, we come to this point that school business is the fastest growing business industry. The profit ratio is so good and our government of Pakistan is also in the favor of educational institutes. At the end, I would like to conclude with that word, if we have a better environment and better teachers in our school, it would be much successful business in our country and it would be too hard to compete it. _____________________________
