You will read a biography of your choice. The book must be
selected by March 14, 2008. Teacher will approve your selection.
Teacher will provide you with index cards.
1. You will write your name on the blank side of each index
card and keep your cards wrapped in a rubber band inside your
2. On each index card you will take notes concerning each
topic of the outline that follows. Use at least one index card for
3. There are 5 major areas that you must answer in your
report. There are subtopics under each major topic to help you
prepare your report. You should make notes as you read your
biography. Teacher will go over the outline with you in class.
4. Teacher will provide you with a cut out figure.
You must design the figure as the person in your biography report.
For example, if your report is about George Washington, your cut
out figure should be “dressed” like George Washington. You may
color, glue fabric or a facial image, use yarn, etc. to create your
figure. This is not worth the majority of the grade, so don’t spend
more time on the figure than the writing of your report.
5. Both the figure and the report are due on April 14, 2008.
6. Your report should be one page typed or 2 pages neatly
written. Remember to include an opening and closing. Each
major topic of the outline should be one paragraph (total of 5).
