Curtis T. Hill, Jr. is the Prosecuting Attorney for the 34th Judicial Circuit, Elkhart
County, State of Indiana. A lifelong resident of Elkhart, Curtis is a graduate of
Elkhart Central High School. He received his
Bachelor of Science degree from the Indiana
University School of Business and
subsequently earned his Doctorate of
Jurisprudence from the Indiana University
School of Law in 1987. Prior to being elected
Prosecuting Attorney for Elkhart County in
November of 2002, Curtis was engaged in the
private general practice of law while also
serving as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in
Elkhart County.
Hill has been active through his service to a
variety of boards and professional
associations. He is currently serving on the
board of governors for the Indiana State Bar

Association as well as a board member for the
CHAIRMAN
Association of Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys. GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL ON IMPAIRED
He is on the Governor’s Council for Impaired AND DANGEROUS DRIVING
and Dangerous Driving and has been
appointed to the Governor’s Methamphetamine Task Force. In addition, Hill
serves on the board for the Elkhart Community Bank, the Greater Elkhart
Chamber of Commerce, the Elkhart County Historical Society, and the Better
Business Bureau. He is a member of the Elks Lodge #425, the NAACP (life
membership), the Elkhart City Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association,
and the State Board of Law Examiners Committee on Character and Fitness. He is
also an Honorary Rotarian, provides volunteer work for the Elkhart County 4-H
Extension Project Lead, and participates in the Elkhart Civic Theatre.
Hill has testified before Congress on “Methamphetamine in the Heartland” and
has given a presentation on local law enforcement resources for the 2004 Northern
Indiana Methamphetamine Summit sponsored by the Office of National Drug
Control Policy Executive Office of the President of the Untied States.
Hill and his wife Teresa have five (5) children.
