INVITATION TO ATTEND

October 2008

Dear Corporate Partner:

I am very pleased to offer you this invitation to exhibit and participate in The
Second Joint Symposium of the International and National Neurotrauma Societies, which
will be held September 7-11, 2009 at the Fess Parker DoubleTree Resort in Santa
Barbara, California, USA. Given the international rotation schedule, this meeting
represents only the second time in history that these two prestigious societies have
conducted a joint meeting. It will represent the 9th International Neurotrauma
Symposium and 27th National Neurotrauma Symposium. The first joint meeting was held
in Tampa, Florida in 2002 and attracted 747 clinical and research participants
representing over 36 countries from around the world.

We are very excited that the Neurotrauma 2009 Symposium will again be held in
conjunction with the meeting of the Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care of the
American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons
(AANS/CNS) for the second year in a row. The added influx of neurosurgeons and
neurocritical care physicians will continue to add to the overall merit and attendance of
the meeting. We are anticipating between 800-1,000 participants including neurotrauma
researchers, healthcare providers, residents, fellows and students from across the United
States and around the world.

As an exhibitor, the Neurotrauma 2009 Symposium will provide you the opportunity
to meet face-to-face with these important customers, to learn about cutting-edge
neurotrauma research in brain, spine and peripheral nerve injury, and to show and
educate attendees about your latest neurological products and services crucial to the
continuing advancement of neurotrauma research and clinical care.

Exhibiting also enhances your bottom line by helping you to generate and close
leads, strengthen partnerships with customers, build new relationships with clinicians,
researchers, residents, post doctoral fellows and students, increase brand awareness and
more. For ideas on how to make the most of your exhibit experience, please refer to the
following pages for information on marketing, advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

In addition to making good business sense, your participation is sought in the
actual scientific program. We are planning to hold sessions that emphasize the
relationship between academia and industry. More importantly, our program committee is
interested in featuring some of the best industry-related science currently being done in
the field of neurotrauma. This is a new and important feature of this meeting as it
recognizes the important scientific relationship between industry and neuroscience with

                                                                                            4
the goal of transcending basic science therapies to the clinical application, thereby
reducing human suffering.

We are currently well on our way to making The Second Joint Symposium of the
International and National Neurotrauma Societies, including the AANS/CNS Section on
Neurotrauma & Critical Care a rich scientific experience for all. We look forward to seeing
you in Santa Barbara, California in September 2009.

Sincerely,

INTRODUCTION

The Second Joint Symposium of the International and National Neurotrauma Societies, including
the AANS/CNS Section on Neurotrauma & Critical Care will be held at Fess Parker’s Doubletree
Resort in Santa Barbara, California on September 7-11, 2009.

The Symposium is the premier scientific event for clinicians and researchers in the field of neurotrauma,
presenting state of the art approaches and breaking research. Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the number one
cause of death in young adults and together with spinal cord injury is a major determinant of disability; both
diseases incur high socio economic costs both in the acute treatment phase and in the long term due to loss of
productive life years.

As a sponsor or exhibitor you will be highly visible and an integral part of the event as each sponsor and
exhibitor will be given considerable exposure during the Symposium. The Symposium will provide an
unsurpassed opportunity for companies to network and interact with global decision makers, critical care and
rehab physicians, neurosurgeons and researchers.

Important new scientific developments will be presented in plenary and breakout sessions, oral and poster
presentations. Controversial issues will be addressed in round table discussions and pro-con debates. The
Symposium will bring together an estimated 800-1000 scientists and clinicians from all over the world. We
expect 35 to 40% of the participants from North America, 25 to 30% from Europe, 15 to 20% from Asia and
Australasia and 5 to 10% from other regions.

Sponsorship enables organizations like yours to contribute to the success of Neurotrauma 2009, while benefiting
from a high degree of exposure of your product and services to your worldwide target audience. Sponsorship of
this premier event offers your organization lasting recognition and exposure and will serve to promote the quality
of care for patients with brain and spinal cord injury. In this invitation we offer a large number of opportunities for
sponsorship and present details on the exhibits. All exhibitors will have access to a good location and we will
ensure maximum delegate exposure by providing food functions at the exhibition and integrating exhibits with the
poster viewing sessions.

The International Neurotrauma Society is dedicated to highlighting the international impact of traumatic brain and
spinal cord injuries and to foster the exchange of both basic and clinical scientific information across the globe regarding the
care, management and treatment of patients suffering from neurotrauma. This global exchange of information is to be
accomplished via education for clinicians, scientists and students in the form of Symposiums that are cycled through
different continents.

The National Neurotrauma Society is committed to the promotion of neurotrauma research by enhancing
communications, providing a forum, and increasing support on the national and international level. The National
Neurotrauma Society seeks to accelerate research that will provide answers for clinicians and ultimately improve the
treatments available to patients. The National Neurotrauma Society will continue to promote excellence in the field by
