Each week in reading class, there is going to be a focus
for the week that will tie into a state standard or
performance task. Students will be choosing three
questions to answer in their reading notebooks from the
category that relates to the weekly focus. Students will
be using a fiction book that they are reading nightly at
home.


The category will be assigned on Tuesday of each week
and students will have until the following Tuesday to
complete the journal prompts.


Students need to copy down the questions, respond to
them using complete sentences, and each answer must be
a minimum of 5-8 sentences. Each thoroughly answered
prompt is worth 10 points each, for a total of 30 points.
