RBC InsuRanCe — GloBal There are two main screens used in the Automated Insurance System: 1. 2. QIns – quote insurance PIns – print insurance Quote InsuRanCe — (QIns, QIns ReCaP) 1. 2. QIns s:VoY QIns s:VoY P:XXXX Review a list of insurance product codes. Establish an insurance session with specified product code. Enter the required information to complete a quote. 3. QIns P:XXXX If an additional insurance product(s) is required, this transaction books the additional product(s). Up to 5 products can be booked for 1 policy. 4. QIns ReCaP Once you have finished entering the Information, at the nXt prompt, type QIns ReCaP and enter. The QIns ReCaP transaction allows you to quote the client a rate prior to issuing the policy. If you notice an error or wish to re-quote using the same product at this point, type QIns 1 to return to your first screen; type in the correct information and retype QIns ReCaP. If you need to quote a new product, you must use the QINS S:XXX P:XXXX Book InsuRanCe 1. 2. 3. GCF aBC12345n CFs Pol aCC QIns s:VoY P:XXXX Get the appropriate Matrix client file To get the original policy number and issue date Request the quote screen using the information for the portion of coverage they are keeping (I.E. if they purchased a package of insurance in the original policy and the new policy will be medical only, proceed as if you are selling medical only policy from the beginning). **note — In the “FoR eXCH oR PaRtIal ReFund, tHe PRICe as oF” field, enter the Issue date oF tHe oRIGInal PolICY > departure date Actual date traveled > Return date 4. 5. 6. Once you are ready to sell the policy quoted in the QINS RECAP screen, used the PINS transaction. 1. PIns or PIns 1.1 The PIns transaction defaults to selling insurance for all passengers on the client file. If you are not selling insurance for all passengers, enter the passenger number for the appropriate name, i.e. PIns 1.1 to sell insurance for pax 1.1 only. 2. CFs Pol aCC Once you have finished entering the information, at the nXt PROMPT TYPE, CFs Pol aCC 7. 8. InV CFs aCC
Verify the new rate In the “TO RE-ISSUE, ORIG POLICY NO” field. Enter the original policy number Check the client file accounting. You will see that Matrix has refunded the original policy for you and issued a new one, cross-reference to the original policy. Invoice the file Re-check the client file accounting
