Greetings from Bismarck, North Dakota – the Sports Illustrated/National Recreation and Park Association’s Sportstown for North Dakota! We are very proud of this national recognition and are confident it reflects positively on our ability to host a National Championship in 2008! Bismarck has served as host for seven ASA Softball Tournaments as well as many other state, regional, national and worldwide tournaments, including the 2006 Women’s Class C West National Championship, 2005 Coed Class B National Championship Tournament, 2002 World Curling Championships and seven time host of the North Dakota Prairie Rose State Games, a multi-sport festival. Bismarck has excellent softball tournament facilities, centralized lodging and dining establishments, and exceptional hospitality. The community looks forward to welcoming friends from around the country. Attached you will find a packet of information regarding the 2008 Men’s Northern Class D Slow Pitch National Championship, August 28 - September 1, 2008. A schedule will be developed.
