Goals and Objectives: 1. To assist social workers in comprehensive preparation for the social work licensure exams. 2. To develop participants’ test taking strategies, specifically related to the ASWB National Social Work exams. 3. To provide an overview of social work content areas fundamental to effective social work practice and pertinent to the exams. 4. To provide social workers tools and knowledge for successful completion of the licensure exam and effective social work practice.
Seminar Overview: The seminar, scheduled in a 2-day format, includes a combination of exam strategies and content review, with an emphasis on strategies unique to the ASWB social work licensure exams, which are used by Georgia and most other states. The cost includes instruction, a Ventajas Publications exam-specific comprehensive study manual, seminar materials, and light refreshments. Approximately 200 practice questions, with full explanatory keys, are included in the materials.

~About the Trainer~
Dr. Pray has 30+ years of professional social work experience in child welfare, medical social work, program management, and academia. She regularly conducts training for Georgia DFCS (via GSU School of Social Work), NASW Georgia Chapter, and Social Work Unlimited, LLC. She has worked closely with Ventajas Publications, LLC (formerly Ventajas, LLC) since 1999, bringing nationally recognized licensure exam prep services and materials to social workers. Jackie had “up close & personal” experience with the Clinical exam, during the process of qualifying for the LCSW in Georgia (She PASSED!). Jackie has provided clinical supervision for staff employed by Georgia DFCS (through a project coordinated by Valdosta State University) and the Office of the Georgia Capital Defenders. You may want to park on the far right side and rear area of the parking lot. If you do not see any signs, enter through the main entrance. You will be given directions to the Training Room located in the rear of Hospice House. If that door is locked, directions will be given to enter through the side door. Driving Directions, in Savannah, from DeRenne Avenue and Abercorn Street: • Continue to go east on DeRenne Avenue. • Turn right at the Harry Truman Parkway and go south on the Parkway. • Take the next Exit, Eisenhower Drive. • Turn right at the light of Eisenhower Drive. • Take the 1st right, after the Sallie Mood Drive traffic light. (If you reach the post office, you have just passed the 1st right.) • Enter the Hospice Savannah parking lot on the left. Driving Directions from I-95: (This will get to DeRenne Avenue and Abercorn Street.) • Take the I-16 East Exit to Savannah • Take the 1st Lynes Parkway/516 Exit • Stay on Lynes Parkway/516 until it becomes DeRenne at the 1st traffic light, Montgomery Street. (Do not take the Veterans Parkway) • Get in the middle lane at the 1st traffic light, Montgomery Street. • This narrows to two lanes after the 3rd traffic light, Abercorn Street. • Stay in the right lane after Abercorn Street until you reach the Harry Truman Parkway.
