AFHS News URGENTLY REQUIRED – Assistant Editor for Chinook. Must have recent version of MS Word and sufficient computer skills to be able to assist with every aspect of production. Hutchison Scholarship Award Funded by an endowment from GEN-FIND Research Associates, the Brian W. Hutchison Scholarship Award aims to encourage Canadian genealogists. A scholarship of up to $500 is awarded annually and may be applied toward tuition and books to study genealogy and family history in a recognized education or accreditation/certification program, for the cost of attending a genealogical conference/seminar, or a cash prize. Based on four generations, submissions must include a research plan, a family history, a genealogy report, a pedigree/descendancy chart and a bibliography. SIG News BEGINNERS SIG: Next meeting Thursday, October 8, 7 p.m. at the AFHS library. This is a forum to ask questions and generally exchange ideas on family history. Research concerns, matters of interest and what we want to accomplish this year will also be discussed so bring your problems and suggestions for an interesting and productive season.
