You can organize your custom list such as a blacklist, a white list, family list or any other. It enables you to set different actions for custom lists you have defined. You can accept, reject, send busy tone, mute tune or send the call to voicemail. You’ll have complete control over who can reach you. System Requirement Blackberry Pearl, Curve, 88xx, 87xx*, 71xx, 72xx and 75xx. OS Version 4.0.2 and higher * Blackberry 8703e Verizon Wireless is not compatible. Installation PC: Blackberry Desktop Manager I. II. III. Unzipped iCallManagerLight.zip to local folder Connect Blackberry phone to PC. Open Blackberry Desktop Manager application and double click Application Loader M – 1. Desktop Manager IV. Browser and select “iCallManagerLight.alx” in local folder and install 3    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  OTA: Blackberry Browser If you face a problem to install application by Desktop Manager, we are provided over the air (OTA) download which is always available to brows and install directly to your Blackberry phone. I. Point your Blackberry's browser to http://download.i-softwarelabs.com M – 2. OTA link II. Select product “iCall Manager LIGHT” to download. M – 3. Select Product Click next and click Download button to install 4    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Application Security Blackberry smart phone is restricted for 3rd application to run and you have to set appropriate permissions to i,Call Manager immediately after install. Failure to do so will cause the application to function improperly. In Blackberry Home Screen, scroll to and select Options icon. Select Advanced Options and then select Applications and then scroll to “iCall Manager Light” and select Edit Permissions. M - 4. Edit Permissions Set the following permissions to ‘Allow’ Connection o Phone* o Carrier Internet Interactions o Inter process Communication o Keystroke Injection User Data o PIM For some OS and model, blackberry phone will pop up asking for Phone application permissions. Set the check box on the screen to allow. *If your phone screen is frozen by 3rd application that needs Phone application permission to operate, you must edit default permission before installing the application. 5    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Start Application i,Call Manager light is auto start when phone starts. You can click the application icon in Blackberry Home Screen to change the profiles setting, check for free application update, send support email and access call log. Main Screen When you click the icon, the main screen appears. You will see call log status in this screen which will tell you how many calls have come in, and how many calls were blocked and reported as unwanted calls. M – 5. Main screen Under the horizontal line are active profile name and its profiles properties icon: Reject by, Filter Rule and Private/Unknown callers filter rule. You will find profile properties description and how to change its properties in Customize Profile. 6    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Trial Period and Registering Trial version contains no limitation and trial period is 7 days. If you had purchased i,Call Manager Light you will receive license key within 24 hours. To register, select Register… in menu options and type license key in pop-up window then select OK. M – 6. Register Full Version 7    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Switch Active Profile i,Call Manager comes with 5 profiles. To switch the active profile, select Switch Active Profile from menu options. Scroll to a preferred profile name then press spacebar or click track wheel and then select the OK button. Profile name and icon will change according to the profile’s setting. M – 7. Switch Active Profile 8    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Customize Profile i,Call Manager allow you to create, delete, rename and customize unlimited number of profiles. To start do that; select Edit Profiles from menu options. The Profile Properties screen will appear as in the picture below. M – 8. Profile Properties Name Filter Rule Address Book Profile name, distinct each profile by it name. This is call filter rules that assigns to a profile to filter incoming calls which know caller number. The software will allow incoming calls only from Address Book. The software will reject incoming calls from number in blacklisted. The software will allow incoming calls from number in white listed. Do Not Disturb The software will reject all incoming calls including hidden callers. The software will allow all incoming calls. If you selected this mode then all other setting will disable and can’t be changed. Blacklist Whitelist Off mode 9    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Private/Unknown callers This is call filter rules that assigns to a profile to filter incoming call that can’t be retrieved phone number. Allow all incoming calls from private callers and unknown callers. Reject all incoming calls from private callers and unknown callers. Reject By Software action mode to reject unwanted calls. M – 9. Reject by mode Send Busy Tone The software will end the incoming calls and send busy tone to the callers. The software will mute audio and stop phone vibration. The software will hang-up the incoming calls. Mute Tune Hang Up ________________________________________________________________ Busy tone: Each carrier has difference way to handle and send busy tone to the callers. The following setting can be use. I. II. III. IV. Reject by: Send Busy Tone Reject by: Send Busy Tone + set “If Busy” to “Do Not Forward” Reject by: Send Busy Tone + set “If Busy” to “Do Not Forward” + set call waiting to “No” Reject by: Hang Up 10    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  ________________________________________________________________ Hang up: This feature relies on Keystroke Inject permission. If you have failed to change the permission then the application will not succeed in hanging-up the incoming calls. Please ask your BES administrator to change this security setting. Also, in some phone model, your phone security might not allow the 3rd application to inject key to hang-up incoming calls even you can set the permission to allow. 11    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Create Profile To create a new profile, scroll to profile properties’s Name: then select New Profile from menu options. Profile name dialog will show up and type your new profile name here then select OK. M – 10. Profile menu options Rename Profile To rename a profile, scroll to profile properties’s Name: then select a profile you want to rename. Select Rename Profile from menu options then profile name dialog will show up and type your name here then select OK. M – 11. Profile name dialog Delete Profile To delete a profile, scroll to profile properties’s Name: then select a profile you want to delete. Select Delete Profile from menu options. 12    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Add Contact to Black and Whitelist For the profiles that set Filter Rule to Blacklist OR Whitelist, you have to select group(s) to define blacklist or white list numbers. Scroll to profile properties’ Filter Rule: then select Select Groups from menu options. The software will list all defined groups as appear in the picture below. M – 12. Select groups menu Check the checkbox in front of the group name that you want to add to blacklist or white list then select Save from menu options. M – 13. Blacklisted or white listed The software will show selected groups and number of contacts in each group in profile properties screen. 13    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Create, Rename and Delete group To create new group, scroll to profile properties’ Filter Rule and select Edit Group. The Group screen will appears. Select New Group from menu options. Group name dialog will show up and type the name here then select OK. M – 14. Group menu M – 15. Group name dialog To rename and delete group, scroll to profile properties’ Filter Rule and select Edit Group. The Group screen will appears. Scroll to the group name that you want to rename or delete then select Rename Group or Delete Group from menu options. 14    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Add Contact to Group To add a new contact to group, scroll to profile properties’ Filter Rule and select Edit Group. The Group screen will appears. M – 16. Group screen Scroll to a group name you want to add contact to then click enter or track wheel. The Group member screen will appears. M – 17. Add contact menu Select Add Member from menu options then import contact screen will appear. 15    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  M – 18. Import contacts You can import phone numbers from call log or call log type missed calls or create your own contacts one by one. When you select to import a contact from the call log, the application will list all numbers and prompt you to select to add to the group. Check the check box in front of numbers then select Save from menu options. M – 19. Save contact to group If you select New Contact, then application will prompt you to type contact name and phone numbers. Click Save from menu options to add new contact to the group. 16    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  M – 20. Create new contact Add from Address Book/ Call Log To add a contact or a number one by one, you can add from the Address Book or Call log application. Go to Address Book or Call Log application, scroll to a contact or a number that you want to send to i,Call Manager’s groups. Select Add to Group from menu options. Check the checkbox in front of the group name then select OK. 17    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Call Log i,Call Manager logging all type of incoming calls but not outgoing calls. Call log screen screen contains 2 types of incoming calls: white calls and blocked calls. A white call is answered call including missed call. A blocked call is call that was blocked by the application. To view a log detail, scroll to call log then click enter or track wheel. M – 20. Check for update The application comes with Check for update menu that let your get latest software with no need to check from web site. You can check what changes, enhanced and improved are, what version you are using and what’s latest version is available for download. To check for update, select Check for update from menu options in status screen. 19    www.i‐softwarelabs.com  Options Select Options from menu options. You can add or remove Add to Group menu from Address Book and Call Log application by setting in this screen. This setting will take effected after phone restart. M – 22.
