The probe of the PULSI 200LR fits into the process stack where the measurement takes place. The instrument automatically zeros on a daily basis by flooding the cell with compressed instrument air, the accuracy of the analyser can then be verified by flooding the cell with certified test gas traceable to a National Standard. This can be done either manually or automatically depending on the application. The ranges of the instrument supplied are: 0 - 3000 ppm NO 0 - 3000 ppm NO2 0 - 3000 ppm N2O The instrument can also be used for emission monitoring with ranges down to 0 - 200 ppm. In this application, the PULSI 200LR not only monitors NOx components, but also continuously monitors both the sample temperature and pressure, ensuring that any fluctuations are automatically compensated for, thereby increasing the accuracy and reliability of the measurement. The in-situ sample cell is protected by a stainless steel envelope, this not only enables the introduction of a zero and calibration gas but also excludes any particulates from contaminating the in-stack optics. The instrument is capable of monitoring at high temperatures with the presence of high levels of water vapour.
