FINAL PROGRAM
Background and Scope The purpose of this Symposium is to provide a forum for open discussion of Market solutions to Congestion Management. Starting with International Market Practices, the sessions cover Operations issues related to those practices, tools, Information Technology issues and Tariff and Pricing. The format of the Symposium is designed to stimulate and foster audience participation. Leading subject matter experts are chairing as well as presenting papers. The Technical Sessions are designed for short summary Presentations followed by an Open discussion Panel Session (led by the session chair). Symposium Topics The Symposium is organized into an Opening Session followed by 9 Technical Sessions. The Opening Session is highlighted by a Keynote address from Andre Merlin the CEO of RTE. The 9 Technical Sessions cover six subject areas: International Practices for Congestion Management Tariffs and Pricing (2 sessions) Operations for Congestion Information Technology Issues Experiences with Congestion Management (2 sessions) Tools for Congestion Management (2 sessions)

The Symposium is open to the public. Registration can be made in advance using either the on-line registration or using the Fax Registration Form. The Registration fee covers: Attendance and participation in all of the sessions CD-ROM of papers (The CD will be mailed to those who registered prior to Sept 2nd. The CD will be distributed to the other registrants at the Conference Registration desk.) Participation in the Welcome cocktail with one accompanying person Morning and afternoon coffee.
