2nd CIGRE / IEEE PES International Symposium
Congestion Management in a Market Environment
FINAL PROGRAM
Background and Scope
The purpose of this Symposium is to provide a forum
5 – 7 October 2005 for open discussion of Market solutions to Congestion
Management. Starting with International Market
San Antonio – USA Practices, the sessions cover Operations issues related
to those practices, tools, Information Technology issues
and Tariff and Pricing.
The format of the Symposium is designed to stimulate
Symposium venue: and foster audience participation. Leading subject matter
experts are chairing as well as presenting papers. The
Hilton Palacio del Rio Technical Sessions are designed for short summary
200 South Alamo Street Presentations followed by an Open discussion Panel
San Antonio, Texas 78205 Session (led by the session chair).
Symposium Topics
The Symposium is organized into an Opening Session followed by 9 Technical Sessions. The Opening
Session is highlighted by a Keynote address from Andre Merlin the CEO of RTE. The 9 Technical
Sessions cover six subject areas:
