Are you tired of hemorrhoid burning, itching, and swelling, and ready for long term hem relief? Of course you are! I know I was in the same position as you, frustrated with the pain and discomfort of hemorrhoids. I was desperate for some instant hem relief. I tried many different treatments and medications but found only a few simple things could really help me in the short term. Here are a few steps to help you get some hem relief now: 1. Use an ice pack. You can put a handful of ice cubes ins a zip top sandwich bag and use this as a cold compress on your hemorrhoid. Simply press the ice against the areas where there is pain for about 10 minutes. Do this several times per day, and I think you will feel some results. 2. Make a sitz bath. You will fill your bath tub with about 4 inches of warm water. Sit in the bath for about 15 minutes per day to relieve itching areas. Be careful not to get the water to hot or you will aggravate the hurting areas and you won’t see any hem relief. 3. Apply moist heat. You can apply a hot water compress on the areas that are bleeding and itching to get hem relief. Take a washcloth and run hot water over it in the sink, then squeeze out most of the water, but still keep it moist. You can do this for 20 minutes at a time, several times per day. 4. Watch your movements. Avoid sitting or standing for long periods of time as this may agitate your hemorrhoids. If you do have to sit for some time then use a pillow. Also, try not to lift heavy objects as this can cause undue swelling and strain and you won’t see any hem relief.
