What is Company Buzz?
Company Buzz is an application that allows you to see what people are saying about companies and topics you care about. Company Buzz uses information from your profile such as companies and schools to find relevant discussions on twitter. Company buzz also shows you how frequently your company or topic has been mentioned and the top words associated with your company and the topic. You may add new topics and customize existing topics with new search terms to get just the results you are interested in.
What do I do if I do not see any comments for my company?
LinkedIn uses your company and school information from your profile to find relevant comments. In some cases the search terms we use to find comments for your topic may be too specific. Try changing these search terms to improve the results. To change the search terms follow these steps. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Confirm you have added Company Buzz. Go to your home page and in the Company Buzz module on the right hand side select 'See more'. Select 'manage' in the topics box on the right hand side. Select 'edit' next to the topic you would like to modify. You can add, remove and change the search terms used to find comments. Select 'save' once you are done.
Comments for your new topic will be shown on the left hand side. You can continue to modify the search terms until you get satisfactory results.
How do I add a new topic?
To add a new topic to Company Buzz follow these steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. Confirm you have added Company Buzz. Go to your home page and in the Company Buzz module on the right hand side select 'See more'. Enter a new topic in the Topics Box on the right hand side. Select 'add'.
How do I modify the search terms for a topic?
You may modify the search terms for any topic. To change the search terms follow these steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Confirm you have added Company Buzz. Go to your home page and in the Company Buzz module on the right hand side select 'See more'. Select 'manage' in the topics box on the right hand side. Select 'edit' next to the Topic you would like to modify. You can not add remove and change the search terms used to find comments. Once you are done you select 'save'.
Comments for your new topic will be shown on the left hand side. Depending on the results you see, you may want to modify the search terms for your topic.
Why are my Buzz Words and Trends empty?
It may take some time to calculate the Buzz Words and Trends for a recently added or modified topic. We suggest you check back later in the day to see if there are results. Company Buzz looks for comments only on Twitter. Twitter is a service for friends, family and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? What are Buzz Words?
Many topics have a large number of results and it is hard to see the most common themes. Buzz Words are the top 5 words associated with the comments for your topic. You can click on any one of the Buzz Words to see only the comments containing that word.
What are Trends?
Trends is a feature in Company Buzz that graphs how many times each day Twitter® comments matched your Topic. Click on one of your Topics to populate the Trends feature with information.
