Job Description

Job Purpose:

Aurion Learning is a Belfast-based, multiple award winning company delivering innovative online applications for
learning and development throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to our continued expansion, we have an opening
for a Marketing Officer to work with the sales and business development teams. The Marketing Officer will
develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns; track sales data; maintain promotional materials
inventory; plan meetings and trade shows; maintain databases; and prepare reports.

          Contributes to the ongoing development of the marketing strategy for the company.
          Implements marketing and advertising campaigns (including channel activities), by assembling and
           analysing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning
           and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
          Tracks product and service sales and costs by analysing and entering sales, expense, and new business
          Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising sales data.
          Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department.
          Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product
           information; relaying customer services requests.
          Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share,
           pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
          Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing
           contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
          Monitors budgets by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
          Contributes to the ongoing development of the marketing strategy for the company.



          A Third level Degree (Marketing, Business Administration, or Technical)

       At least 3 years post-graduate work experience in a Marketing Assistant/Officer role within a technology
        company, including 2 years experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of online marketing
       At least 2 years Direct Marketing experience including e-Marketing, Market Segmentation, Marketing
        Research, Coordination, Project Management, Reporting Research Results, Understanding the Customer,
        Process Improvement.
       Proficient IT skills in using the Internet, Word-processing and Spreadsheet design.
       Experience of channel partner management.
